Portlander

The VEPR002 is a Veritas Portlander built with the kind of presence that makes this model so special: familiar enough to feel immediately comfortable, but with its own voice, attitude and visual identity. Finished in Gloss Poly Olive Drab Green, this build pairs an alder body with a roasted maple neck and Indian rosewood fingerboard, giving the instrument a balanced, focused and responsive feel under the hands. The black pickguard, nickel hardware and body binding give the guitar a refined, custom-shop look without losing the direct, workhorse character of the Portlander platform. The Portlander is all about balance. Chords stay articulate, single notes have definition, and the guitar reacts naturally to dynamics — from clean, open voicings to pushed rhythm work and expressive lead lines. The body binding gives the guitar a refined, custom-shop look, adding definition to the outline while keeping the build clean, elegant and purposeful. At the heart of the guitar are Veritas’ own BearCats pickups, hand-wound in-house and carefully voiced for the Portlander platform. They are not an afterthought — they are part of what gives these guitars their clarity, touch response and unmistakable Veritas voice. The Bigsby B5 adds movement without turning the guitar into a novelty. Subtle vibrato, gentle chord shimmer and expressive bends sit naturally within the voice of the instrument, giving the VEPR002 an extra layer of personality. Every guitar sold by ToneDistrict is individually inspected and professionally set up before shipping from Barcelona, Spain. We check playability, electronics, hardware, tuning stability and overall condition so the instrument arrives ready to inspire from the first chord. No customs. No surprises. Just a hand-built Veritas, available in Europe and ready to play.
