Portlander

The VEPR001 is a Veritas Portlander built with the kind of presence that makes this model so special: familiar enough to feel immediately comfortable, but with its own voice, attitude and visual identity. Finished in Open Grain Satin White, this build lets the texture of the wood remain part of the instrument’s character. It feels raw, tactile and honest — a finish that looks refined without feeling over-polished. Paired with nickel hardware and a Carey/tortoise pickguard, the result is understated, elegant and unmistakably boutique. The Portlander platform is all about balance. It has the snap and immediacy you want from a great offset-inspired instrument, but with a fuller, more grounded response under the fingers. Chords stay articulate, single notes have definition, and the guitar reacts naturally to dynamics — from clean, open voicings to pushed rhythm work and expressive lead lines. At the heart of the guitar are Veritas’ own BearCats pickups, hand-wound in-house and carefully voiced for the Portlander platform. They are not an afterthought — they are part of what gives these guitars their clarity, touch response and unmistakable Veritas voice. The Bigsby B5 adds movement without turning the guitar into a novelty. Subtle vibrato, gentle chord shimmer and expressive bends sit naturally within the voice of the instrument, giving the VEPR001 an extra layer of personality. Every guitar sold by ToneDistrict is individually inspected and professionally set up before shipping from Barcelona, Spain. We check playability, electronics, hardware, tuning stability and overall condition so the instrument arrives ready to inspire from the first chord. No customs. No surprises. Just a hand-built Veritas, available in Europe and ready to play.
